Tottenham vs Coventry: what's at stake?
Three Premier League points are the prize as Tottenham host Coventry. Spurs have the opportunity to turn home advantage into a win, while Coventry can take valuable points away from north London. With the league campaign moving through October, every result contributes to the platform each side builds for the months ahead.
The tactical question is how much space either side can find when possession changes hands. If Tottenham push players forward, can Coventry exploit the room behind them? If the visitors spend longer defending, can Spurs move the ball quickly enough to create clear chances? Those are the battles to follow rather than assuming the result will go with home advantage.
Team news and injuries
At publication, we could not verify a current, match-specific injury or suspension bulletin for either Tottenham or Coventry from the official club news pages available to us. We are therefore not naming unconfirmed absentees or publishing a predicted starting XI. Check the clubs' official matchday updates for confirmed line-ups closer to kick-off.
